Flight time to South Africa is about 8 – 14 hours from Europe, depending on your routing. Most flights depart in the evening and arrive in South Africa the next morning

Around the country by air
South Africa has an extensive and well-developed domestic airline network. There are numerous daily departures between major cities and good connections to smaller destinations, as well.

Prices on domestic flights are highly competitive. This also applies to connections to destinations in neighbouring countries like Victoria Falls, Windhoek and Maputo.

Almost every lodge in the country has its own landing strip and you can fly direct by air charter to your destination without having to change to road transport (air taxis are, however, more expensive than scheduled flights).
