South Africa's fine fairways
Few countries have golf links in such close proximity to each other as South Africa, and standards are high
South
Africa’s fairways play host to many international tournaments every
year; each in its own providing unique experiences and challenges.
Twenty
top standard courses are within easy reach in and around Cape Town
alone. Of note is Erinvale that hosted the World Cup in 1996.
Out on the coast, near Hermanus, the Western Cape Hotel & Spa has
been awarded a number of international prizes over the years for its
beautifully designed par-72 course on the banks of the Bot River
Lagoon.
Continuing up the coast along the classic Garden Route, near George,
the exclusive Fancourt Hotel and Country Club, with its three Gary
Player designed 18-hole courses, one of which is Links Style, should
not be missed.

South Africa´s most challenging course
Further east you’ll find the classical and beautifully situated Durban Country Club.
But the ultimate choice for more advanced players must be luxurious
Zimbali, on the Indian Ocean, reputed to be the most forbidding course
in South Africa (a title it’s now being forced to defend as the
Knysna’s Sparrebosch Golf Club comes into its own).
Golf in a safari setting
Sun City is PGA renowned, while only the inner circle is familiar with the links in nearby Brits.
In Limpopo province in the north of the country it is not uncommon for
wild animals from Kruger Park to roam the fine fairways of Hans
Merensky Golf Club. And if this does not bring you close enough to
Africa, you can tee-off in the national park itself.

We book your tee-off and clubs
No matter where you go in South Africa and irrespective of the amount
of time you spend on the greens it is easy and relatively inexpensive
to rent equipment and get off to a good start. We know the courses and
we know the climatic conditions, which can vary considerable from area
to area.
So,
if you intend to swing the clubs just once or twice during your stay,
or are going for the golfing holiday per se, Liberty International and South
Africa will provide an out of the ordinary never to be forgotten
golfing experience.
